FEIG ELECTRONIC has updated its ID LRU500i-BD long-range UHF reader to support the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) for secure, bidirectional vehicle identification at ranges up to 10 meters. This enhancement allows integrators to transition from vulnerable Wiegand connections to encrypted RS-485 communication, meeting the higher cybersecurity standards now required in high-end perimeter security and parking management.
