The RAIN Alliance has established a dedicated working group to standardize and scale the integration of sensing capabilities, such as temperature and moisture monitoring, directly into passive UHF RFID tags. This initiative enables the collection of real-time environmental data without batteries, significantly reducing the cost of IoT deployments for cold chain, automotive, and industrial asset management.
